The first international conference entitled "Employment, Education and Entrepreneurship" was held in Belgrade, at the "Best Western Sumadija" hotel, in the period from 12-14. December 2012. The conference was organized by the Belgrade Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the International Research Institute for Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (IRISEED), Birmingham, UK, Faculty of Economics and Management, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, Shaanxi - China and the Faculty for Entrepreneurship, University of Tehran, Iran.
 
The organizers made an effort to bring a large number of participants who had their presentations in plenary and thematic sessions. In this regard, the Conference brought together over 250 experts in the field of economics, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, information technology, law, who in their presentations pointed out the most important issues related to employment, education and entrepreneurship. Authors from Iran, Bulgaria, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Romania, the USA, Peru, Hungary, Austria, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro, etc. also submitted papers for the conference in Serbia. Also, the conference was attended by as many as three academics: prof. dr Mirjana Radović-Marković, prof. dr Radmila Grozdanić and prof. Dr. Slavko Karavidić. In addition to representatives of a large number of universities and schools, the conference was attended by representatives of the National Bank of Serbia and other commercial banks, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia, the Institute of Economic Sciences and other institutions.

The main goal of the conference was to come to a conclusion on how to contribute to employment growth, improve the quality of education and entrepreneurship development in Serbia and the countries of the region through the presentations of experts from theory and practice that deal with these problems. From then until today, a total of eight conferences for employment, education and entrepreneurship have been held, thus continuing this tradition on an ever-increasing scale and with an ever-increasing number of attendees as the years went by.

The conference should serve as a good platform for exchanging international experiences and good practices aimed at reducing high unemployment rates and encouraging employment through greater dynamism in the development of private entrepreneurship, both at the level of national economies and globally, and helps to consider various development opportunities and domains. entrepreneurial firms. It enables to determine in which direction new strategies of entrepreneurial education should be developed in order to encourage creativity, development of individuality, creative and logical thinking, which are important preconditions for encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives in practice. Opportunities are opening up to reconsider better synergies between scientific and educational institutions with the business environment.

Education, employment and entrepreneurship are an important trinity between which there is a connection reflected in the fact that private entrepreneurship is a generator of creating new jobs and employment, and that entrepreneurial education develops entrepreneurial competencies that should turn business ideas into reality and make entrepreneurial activities more successful. .
